Muhammad Ameen Keryo pioneered Constructed Wetlands in Pakistan, led 200+ eco-projects, champions GBV & PSEA policies, and consults for UN, WHO, and WWF on sustainable solutions.
He is a globally recognized environmentalist, social reformer, and humanitarian whose pioneering contributions have transformed the landscape of sustainable development in Pakistan.

Pioneering Sustainable Wastewater Treatment in Pakistan

One of his most celebrated achievements is his introduction of Constructed Wetlands in Pakistan.
At a time when conventional sewage systems were failing, especially in rural and underserved urban areas, he introduced low-cost, eco-friendly alternatives that revolutionized wastewater management in the country.
Under his guidance, over 200 Constructed Wetland units have been implemented across Pakistan. These systems are not only cost-effective but also environmentally sustainable, significantly improving local ecosystems and public health conditions.
His pioneering work set a national benchmark, earning recognition from numerous national and international bodies.
Leading the Sindhica Reforms Society
Founded in 1993 by Mr. Keryo, the SRS started as a grassroots initiative in a small village and has grown into a nationally recognized organization. Under his visionary leadership,Through strategic partnerships with leading global organizations like UNDP, UNFPA,
UNICEF, Pathfinder International, USAID, WHO, and The Asia Foundation, SRS has become a model organization in Pakistan’s non-profit and development sectors
